Tried and Tested
We are being contacted weekly from all over the country and people are asking us 'How can I join Creative Gatherings?' They have seen their friends' pictures on Facebook and fell in love. It is humbling to say the least, but we know the number one reason businesses fail is growing to quickly. So we are taking this slow. For the past 5 months, we have tried and tested this out the Indianapolis-area. Our franchise owner in Sunbury, Ohio has worked with us to ensure we can be successful at this. We are consistently adding new franchises in other locations. This is where you come in!

- Good $$$. This isn't going to make you rich, but it is better than most hourly, part-time work.
- Chances are you will be the only one in your area doing this. Once the word spreads about what you are doing, you won't have any problem staying busy.
What Do I Need to Start My Own Franchise?
These are the materials you would need to start your own franchise: (We literally run this out of a home office, a garage and a storage closet.)
- A way to transport the sheets of wood to your house from the store for cutting.
- A table saw and the ability to cut your own wood. (My husband literally cuts all of ours!)
- Be able to stain wood.
- Have a place to stain wood and let it dry.
- A functioning technology-device. Best to have PC or Mac. Can survive with tablet, iPad or phone, but not the greatest.
- $299 starter-fee for Creative Gatherings, website, paint sample vinyl, information, logos, etc.
- Approximately $400-$500 to purchase your supplies to get started.
- We will give you all the information where to purchase your supplies.
- Not a must... but nice to have a Menards nearby. If you have a Dollar Tree, Wal-mart, Michaels and Meijer, even better!
- What you get out of this is determined by the hours you put in! You have to be hard working!
- You must be organized.
- Facebook-Savvy! Tech-Savvy!
- Believe the customer is 1st.
- Have the ability to network.
- Be able to advertise. Social media will make your business.
- Be flexible!

Questions You May Have? We recommend that you read the contract that is attached.
- What is the potential profit I will make?
- As a franchise owner, you will average between $10 and $25 profit per sign. (varies based on size of the sign.) An average party size is 10. A 10-person party ranges from $100 to $250.
- The remaining balance for your signs is a service fee for teaching clients how to create your signs. You collect the remaining $15-$35 they owe at the party.
- What materials will I need to purchase?
- You will need to purchase 15 -18 items plus 60 paint colors. These will be explained on the facilitator page.
- How will my customers order?
- As a part of your $299 start-up, we will create a Creative Gatherings' webpage for your franchise. Your customers can order directly through your webpage, so you don't have to collect orders.
- The main location of Creative Gatherings will process customer orders, cut your customers vinyl and ship them to you, so you can prepare your signs. When the customer orders their vinyl, they will pay us for the $10 non-refundable security deposit. After orders are due, we will cut and ship them to you.
- How can people schedule parties?
- They will have to call you and book them. When you schedule, you will want to get the date, start time, email address, phone number and Facebook name. You will need that info to create the Facebook event.
- You will fill out the party info webpage, so Creative Gatherings has the party information. We need this to match orders as we process.
- We will create a Google sheet for the party and send you the link for it.
- How can I check orders for my parties?
- As we process orders, we place them into Google Sheets so that you and your customers can see at any time.
- Is there a minimum requirement for parties?
- To remain a Creative Gatherings' franchise, we ask that you facilitate 12 parties throughout the calendar year. This is pro-rated the 1st year you open.
- What are the negatives involved?
- Getting set-up is hard work, but once you learn it, practice it and get into a routine it becomes second nature.
- Hard to create you own business in an area that is unfamiliar with the process.
- Customer service isn't always easy. =)
- YOU HAVE TO SAY NO SOMETIMES. No, I can't add late orders. No, I don't have availability.
I CAN DO THIS... WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?
If you are still interested, here is what you should do:
- Fill out franchise application below.
- We will contact you with 5-7 business days.
- We will email a non-disclosure and non-compete agreement saying you will not share our business information with others or sell any wooden signs unless you purchase vinyl from Creative Gatherings.
- We will send you an invoice for $299 via PayPal. This franchising fee to give you access to our facilitator page with information, marketing materials, logos you can use and tutorials. It will also help pay to get your own Creative Gatherings' webpage.
- After signing and paying your fee, you will need to register your Creative Gatherings' franchise as a business within the state you live in.
- As the contract says, you are responsible for your own budget, taxes, etc. We merely serve as a distributor of vinyl and provide you with information to operate your small business using Creative Gatherings' logo, designs and information.
- We will ask that you attend a 3 hour training in Indianapolis or be availble to Facetime to learn/see what we do Creative Gatherings. We truly believe you have to see to learn everything you need to know.
